Zouelle is an exceptionally beautiful mare with 3 good paces, a big walk and super canter.  Her breeding is excellent, with a Champion Stallion line and a’ blue chip’ dam with many Preferent and Keur mares. The is a family of sporthorses on the mother's as well as the father's side, with three of her siblings (with the same mother) competing advanced or above. She is by Special D (Metall/Olympic Ferro) an Inter I level dressage champion in his own right, but also an increasingly successful sire with several Grand Prix children, champion mares and the 2014 Pave cup qualifer and 2013 National Champion for Young Horses in the UK, Eldorado.  Ella produces athletic foals with beautiful heads, supple paces and super conformation.  She is a natural mother who adores her foals and will happily play ‘nanny’ to the offspring of other members of the herd.

Special D is a well developed, classic warmblood stallion with a great work ethic and attitude. He results from the proven combination of Olympic Ferro x Ramiro Z through his own Champion Sire Métall. In his performance tests, Special D scored 8.5 for aptitude as a dressage horse with strong rideability. His Breeding Value Index for dressage is 158. In 2003 Special D won the Pavo-Cup for 4-year olds; in 2003/4 he came second in the KWPN Stallion Competition; in 2004, at the World Championships in Verden, he achieved an average score of 8.38 ; and in 2004/2005 he took 2nd place at the Stallion Competition again. In 2005 Special D competed successfully with Diederik van Silfhout at Advanced Level with many scores above 70%; and in the Stallion Competition 2005/2006 he took 2nd place.  He is now winning at Inter I in the USA with his new owners.  

Special D’s grand dam, Aafke (keur preferent x3), in combination with Ferro, produced the Grand Prix stallion Joeris (who is approved in France), a Light Tour horse in the USA and the UTV mare Gloriosa, as well as Haafke, her full sister and Special D’s dam, who is “preferent”.  Zouelle’s dam, Louelle, has been awarded the predicate Preferent on the basis of her outstanding offspring. She has already had one approved son and four Ster daughters! Her Grand dam Wosina was awarded both a Keur and a Preferent predicate as were may of the other mares in her pedigree. Louella’s sire line is rich in international showjumping blood through her sire Equador (who also sired the 2004 Dutch Olympic dressage team member Idocus), her grandsire Voltaire and her great grandsire Furioso II whose offspring include over 200 state premium mares and at least 70 approved sons. There is also a rich infusion of Thoroughbred blood through the maternal grand sire Apple King who goes back to one of the twentieth centuries greatest racehorses Nearco.
